Overview

The New Business Field Sales Consultant is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads leading to lead conversion either over the telephone or in person.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who is able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists and individual research. A dynamic person with a drive to reach decision makers is essential.

Purpose of Position

iData are looking for a team of professional sales people with at least 3 years’ experience in a field sales role, preferably in the IT support services sector, to join our rapidly expanding team based in Mold.

As well as having new business sales skills, you must be an articulate, presentable and credible business person with the ability to deliver complex propositions to prospective new clients.

You must have the ability to work within a team and have a sustained track record of generating IT support contracts in the region of 6 new customers per month in a business to business environment.

Experience of having sold consultancy or IT services is highly desirable as is knowledge of one or more vertical sectors.

The role will be based at iData’s headquarters in Mold and sales will predominantly be focused on a 50 mile radius.

The role offers a very attractive salary along with commissions and fuel/mileage allowance

Responsibilities

Key result areas and responsibilities.

  • Work with the Sales Manager and other colleagues to generate profitable sales of iData’s range of IT and communication services
  • Manage the sales process from initial appointment to closure
  • Build and manage own pipeline to ensure consistent delivery of sales
  • Meet all performance set targets
  • Keep appropriate records of all activity and report back to the Sales Manager
  • Build and maintain knowledge of iData’s offering and market sectors
  • Produce a high standard of written materials (letters, emails, proposals)
  • Coordinate available resources to create effective and compelling proposals and presentations
  • Generate own appointments to support pipeline through networking and telesales etc.

Experience / Qualities

  • At least 3 years’ experience of closing deals in a field sales and business to business environment
  • Experience of working in the IT services / support sector
  • Able to manage and report on own pipeline
  • Needs to have a consultative approach and experience of selling business aligned service offerings and solutions to high level targets across multiple sectors
  • Confident, successful and credible demeanor
  • First class communications and presentation skills – including the ability to write high standard documentation (letters, emails and proposals)
  • Some formal / structured sales training would be preferred but not essential
  • Must understand small company culture and dynamics
  • Familiar with reporting on their own performance / activity and willingness to handle associated administration

Overview

iData are a telecommunications company located in Mold next to Mold Alexandra FC. We have been in business since 2009 and we are looking for a Telesales person to join our growing team.

Your role on the Telesales team will be to contact customers both existing and new, with a view to upsell our IT and telecoms products and gain appointments for our Business Development Representatives and Account Managers.

Your working day is spent on the phone making outgoing calls based on the products that we offer. During each phone call, you’re likely to:

  • Give advice about how these may benefit customers personally
  • Persuade customers to accept a quote or send their bills to you
  • Gather and document information about the customer
  • Enter your findings into our database, including dates for follow up calls
  • Manage your own call backs
  • Send an e mail to every person describing our products

The work is fast paced and intense, and you have only a short amount of time to build rapport with customers and explain the features and benefits of the product.

iData offer Business Mobile tariffs, Business Landlines, Broadband, Phone Systems and IT Support.

You will be responsible for the full cycle of gaining a new customer from initial telephone call, working out & preparing the quotation to actually closing the deal.

Hours and Environment

Full-time, 37.5 hours a week, no weekends or evenings.

The position is within our open plan office, with a workstation containing a computer and telephone headset.

You may have to undertake practical telephone and keyboard tests as part of the recruitment process. Any customer service experience is also an advantage.
